Tuberculosis remains today a major public health issue with total of 9 million new cases and 2 deaths annually. The lack an effective vaccine the increasing emergence strains Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) highly resistant to antibiotics, anticipate complicated scenario in near future. use nanoparticles features as alternative antibiotics tackling this problem due their potential effectiveness bacterial strains. In context, silver have demonstrated high bactericidal efficacy, although is limited by relatively toxicity, which calls for design nanocarriers that allow based be safely delivered target cells or tissues. work mesoporous silica are used carriers antimycobacterial agent against Mtb. Two different synthetic approaches been afford, on one hand, 2D hexagonal nanosystem contains bromide distributed all through network and, other core@shell metallic core shell radial rearrangement. Both materials good capacity vitro test using Mtb, being lower minimum inhibitory concentration bromide. Therefore, interaction material mycobacterial cell has studied cryo-electron microscopy, establishing direct connection between antimycobactericidal effect observed damage induced envelope.
